The Philippine Association of Catholic Religious Educators (PACRE) is a newly established national
professional organization of religion teachers here in Bacolod City. Established
by interested religion teachers and members of the laity, it aims to provide
for their professional and spiritual needs. The PACRE Constitution and Bylaws were
ratified by its members on December 21, 2015 at the St. John Mary Vianney Hall,
San Sebastian Cathedral Rectory with its officers inducted into office by Most
Rev. Vicente M. Navarra, D.D. Bishop of Bacolod.
The official seat of
PACRE is located at the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos, Bacolod
City. The PACRE’s SEC registration is currently being processed.
The membership in the
Association is open to all Catholic religion teachers, catechists, and campus
ministers. The full membership status
is granted to professional Catholic religious educators who are currently or
previously teaching religious/values education with at least 9 units in M.A. in
Theology/Religious Education/Studies. The associate
membership status is given to any Catholic religion teachers without M.A. units
in Theology/Religious Education/Studies, campus ministers, and parish catechists.
